Today we drove to Huntersville, NC to visit the Latta Plantation. It was a beautiful day to do this. This plantation is a 52 acre living history site.

Latta is the last remaining Catawba River Plantation. Originally, it was a 742 acre cotton plantation home to the James Latta family until 1837. Between 1800 and 1865 over 50 enslaved African Americans lived and worked at the plantation.
