Helpers making Monkey Bread for breakfast!
| And then headed into downtown Charlotte on the Lynx. |
| Another rider... |
| And more riders... |
Not the conductor--it's Bill!
| More riders... |
| Checking out the Hornets Arena, downtown. |
| Where the Hornets play. |
| And back home--time for some fishing. |
| Carter checking out the bait, which was actually grubs found in the dead trees the day before. |
| A very serious fisherman here! |
And then, Friday night's Fish Fry begins...
| Bill and Shelley making a very delicious mac & cheese recipe from Stephanie's on Newbury (a delicious restaurant in Boston that Sara had taken us to a few years ago) |
| Meantime, "Master Chef" Thad preps scallops, shrimp, fish and oysters for our fish fry. He also made a delicious cole slaw and homemade french fries! |
| Sara trying to keep things moving in the kitchen. |
| And so the fish fry begins... |
And the grandkids enjoy chicken nuggets and Uncle Thad's homemade french fries.
| Let the frying begin... |
| Shrimp done! |
| Fish, scallops and oysters-done! |
| Delicious homemade french fries! |
| And a double batch of Stephanie's on Newbury Mac & Cheese. |
Time to enjoy!
And now back to the deep fryer for Rob's turn...
| How about some batter friend... |
Chocolate chip cookies, Oreos, brownies, and so on!
Another wonderful day of "being family". |
