July 25th

Big shopping day today.  We went to the Hickory Furniture Mart in Hickory, NC to shop for a sofa and love seat for our new family room, a coffee table and 2 queen sized headboards.  We found the sofa and love seat, and that was all.  Below is Connie writing up our order.  The sofa, etc we ordered is pictured below.  The covers are all removable and washable.  Should be ready for delivery in mid-September, just as we're ready to move into our new home!

Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without stopping for bar-b-que.  Actually, Shelley (our daughter) told us about this one as they've just opened one near her office in Fairfax.  We enjoyed this  for dinner!

These are the original founders/owners.  It's been around a long time and was very delicious!

The day wouldn't be complete without a stop at our house on the way home.  Here are some pictures of the recent progress.
