July 22nd.
Yesterday and today were both days of lots and lots of rain with a few thunderstorms. We had a grand total of 5+ a little more inches of rain. Good days to stay inside and catch up on the puzzle and emails, etc. But, by Tuesday night (the 2nd) we had extreme cabin fever and decided to get some take out food. Another bar-b-que stop---Sauceman's. This one is located in Charlotte, about 20 or so minutes from us. Below, some pictures of the place.
It was a very tasty dinner. Their cole slaw had a red dressing on it, which turns out to be more bar-b-que sauce.

Big day here for both of us--haircuts!!! I had a Groupon for the Paul Mitchell School in Charlotte, so off I went! Here is a picture of Kesha, my stylist. Keisha is from Ohio and has 3 children; she's very dedicated to what she does and I was pleased with the results.
She is a "Level 2" student, meaning she has had more training, experience than the Level Ones. She'll graduate in October. This place was crazy busy!!! There are 75 students there.
Meantime, back in Belmont, David made a trip to Mike's Barbershop. Mike has been cutting hair since he got out of the Navy in 1946!!! When he saw David he said, "It's good to see you again." And then David replied, "This is my first time here." Mike said, "Well, you look like..........". David got a great hair cut for $11!!!
Lot's happening at the house today--like a beehive! Guys all over, installing tile in the bathrooms, laundry room; molding being put around the floors, doors being installed!!! It's all coming together so nicely.
Hall closet door.
Shower in 2nd bathroom.
Shower in Master Bathroom
Black tile in laundry room
Wednesday nights in downtown Belmont, they have a car show as a fundraiser for Shiners Hospital for Children. So, we went, look around and then ate at the restaurant next to all of this. David had sliders with homemade potato chips, and I had chicken skewers. All very tasty.
