December 23rd  Christmas Event#8

The church we have been attending since we moved into our home is, Belmont First United Methodist Church.  During the Christmas Break, they pack 300+ lunches (Mon thru Fri) for school children who otherwise wouldn't have much (if any) food to eat during that time.  We decided to help prepare lunches one day--316 of them!!!

David is preparing individual salad dressings to go into each lunch.

This is Preston overseeing the pizza.

Today's lunch consisted of pizza, salad & dressing, peaches and...

cookies, and crackers.  The bags in the background will hold one lunch for each child.

Some of the deliverers to take the lunches.

Non refrigerated food items to be used for tomorrow's lunches.  The church purchases food through the schools
cafeterias and is paid for by church donations.  A great program!!!
